Migration Hub centrally manages the progress of over 10 migration tools, including MGN, DMS, and DataSync. When you use MGN for server migration, DMS for database migration, and App2Container for containerization, the progress of each tool is aggregated in the Migration Hub dashboard. You can track migration progress at the application level and get a clear picture of the overall project status.

Dependency Mapping and Strategy Recommendations

Installing Application Discovery Service agents on on-premises servers automatically detects network communication patterns between servers and generates an application dependency map. Dependencies such as web servers communicating with application servers, which in turn communicate with database servers, are visualized. Strategy Recommendations analyzes the characteristics of each workload and suggests the optimal migration strategy from rehost, replatform, and refactor options.

Refactor Spaces and Journey

Migration Hub Refactor Spaces automatically builds the infrastructure for the strangler fig pattern, supporting incremental migration from monoliths to microservices. Migration Hub Journey recommends migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor) for applications and assists in planning. Strategy Recommendations analyzes application dependencies and resource usage patterns to propose the optimal migration strategy.
