Amazon EC2 R8i and R8i-Flex instances now available in Europe (Milan) region

Amazon EC2 launches R8i and R8i-Flex instances in the Europe (Milan) region, offering high performance and cost efficiency for memory-optimized workloads

Amazon EC2 R8i and R8i-Flex instances are now available in the Europe (Milan) region. Powered by custom Intel Xeon 6 processors exclusive to AWS, these instances deliver the highest performance and fastest memory bandwidth among comparable Intel processors in the cloud. The R8i and R8i-Flex instances offer up to 15% better price-performance and 2.5x more memory bandwidth compared to previous generation Intel-based instances. R8i instances are SAP-certified and deliver 142,100 aSAPS, the highest among all comparable machines in on-premises and cloud environments. R8i-Flex instances provide flexible options for memory-intensive workloads in common sizes from large to 16xlarge.
