AWS GovCloud (US) now offers Claude Opus 4.8, Anthropic's most capable generally available model to date. Claude Opus 4.8 delivers meaningful advances across agentic coding, professional knowledge work, and long-running autonomous tasks. For coding, it reads codebases like an engineer, plans before editing, and holds context across long sessions. For agentic tasks, it finds paths around obstacles, recovers from its own errors, and decides when to ask for help. For knowledge work, it synthesizes across long documents, self-checks output, and delivers structured deliverables. Amazon Bedrock keeps data within AWS infrastructure and provides access to Claude Opus 4.8 through a unified service with AWS-managed features like Guardrails and Knowledge Bases.
