Amazon ElastiCache Global Datastore now supports tagging and tag-based access control

Amazon ElastiCache now supports resource tagging and tag-based access control for Global Datastore, enabling consistent permissions and cost allocation across regions without per-region operations

Amazon ElastiCache now supports resource tagging and tag-based access control for global data stores. This allows using AddTagsToResource, RemoveTagsFromResource, and ListTagsForResource, enabling tag-based conditions in IAM policies and service control policies. Tag changes automatically propagate to all regions where the global data store is deployed, ensuring consistent access control and cost allocation policies without per-region operations. The feature incurs no additional charges and requires no changes to creating or managing global data stores. It is available in all AWS regions where ElastiCache global data stores are offered.
