Amazon SES now supports tenant-level deliverability insights
Amazon SES's Virtual Deliverability Manager now offers tenant-level deliverability insights, enabling monitoring of metrics for each tenant
Amazon SES now supports tenant-level deliverability analysis via Virtual Deliverability Manager (VDM). Tenant management allows senders to isolate email sending by customer, business unit, or application. Previously, VDM provided deliverability metrics at the account, ISP, sending identity, and configuration set levels; this update enables customers who enable VDM with tenants to monitor deliverability per tenant. The VDM dashboard adds a tenant view showing metrics (send, delivery, bounces, complaints, opens, clicks) per tenant and a page detailing these metrics by email provider and related identity or configuration set. Customers can search and export tenant messages or query tenant metrics programmatically using the new TENANT_NAME dimension in the BatchGetMetricData API operation, allowing them to identify and fix deliverability issues for specific tenants without affecting others. Virtual Deliverability Manager is available in all AWS regions where Amazon SES is offered.
Why it matters
This update is useful for companies sending emails to multiple customers or business units. Monitoring deliverability metrics at the tenant level makes it easier to identify and fix issues caused by specific tenants.
