AWS announces maintenance transitions and end-of-support for services including Amazon Bedrock Agents and Amazon WorkSpaces, affecting new customers and requiring migration planning for existing users.
AWS has announced maintenance transitions and end-of-support for several services. Services moving to maintenance (Amazon Bedrock Agents Classic, Amazon Cognito Sync, Amazon Kendra, Amazon Q Business, AWS Directory Service - Simple AD, AWS IoT Device Defender - Detect, AWS Mainframe Modernization - Self-Managed Experience, AWS Management Console - myApplications, AWS Resource Groups - Group Lifecycle Events, AWS Service Catalog - Application Registry, AWS Systems Manager - Application Manager, and Amazon SageMaker AI features such as A2I, Clarify, Debugger, GeoSpatial, Ground Truth, Mechanical Turk, Model Monitor, Role Manager, and Studio Lab) will no longer be accessible to new customers starting July 30, 2026, but existing customers can continue using them with ongoing AWS support. Services entering sunset (Amazon WorkSpaces - PCoIP, Amazon WorkSpaces - Pool, AWS Managed Services (AMS) Advanced, AWS re:Post Private, Amazon Sagemaker AI- Profiler) will end operations and support by June 30, 2026. Affected customers should review migration guides and can access support teams for assistance.
