AWS Secrets Manager introduces one-click installation for the AWS Workload Credentials Provider on Linux and Windows, simplifying setup from a multi-step build process to a single command
AWS Secrets Manager has launched one-click installation for the AWS Workload Credentials Provider on Amazon Linux and Windows. This change simplifies setup, moving from a multi-step build process to a single command. AWCP retrieves secrets from AWS Secrets Manager and caches them locally, allowing applications to access secrets via a local HTTP endpoint. Pre-built, signed binaries for Amazon Linux 2023 and Windows Server are now available, providing a ready-to-run agent with in-memory secret caching. The feature is available in all regions where AWS Secrets Manager is offered, at no additional cost beyond standard Secrets Manager pricing
