Capacity Reservation Resource Groups now support Amazon EC2 Capacity Blocks and interruptible Capacity Reservations
Amazon EC2 Capacity Reservation Resource Groups now allow adding Capacity Blocks for ML and interruptible Capacity Reservations
Starting today, you can add Amazon EC2 Capacity Blocks for ML and interruptible Capacity Reservations to Capacity Reservation Resource Groups. Previously, only On-Demand Capacity Reservations could be included. Now any type of Capacity Reservation can be added, simplifying EC2 instance launches across your entire reserved capacity portfolio. To use this, create a group, add any Capacity Reservation, and target it in your launch request. EC2 Fleet and Auto Scaling groups can also specify prioritization preferences across reservation types and configure automatic fallback to On-Demand capacity when no reserved capacity remains. There are no additional charges, and this feature is available in all AWS Regions where Capacity Blocks for ML and interruptible ODCRs are supported, excluding AWS GovCloud (US) and China Regions.
