AWS Batch now supports Amazon ECS Managed Instances

AWS Batch adds Amazon ECS Managed Instances as a new compute option, enabling GPU-accelerated and compute-intensive batch workloads on AWS-managed infrastructure

AWS Batch now includes Amazon ECS Managed Instances (ECS MI) as a new compute option, allowing users to run GPU-accelerated and compute-intensive batch workloads on infrastructure managed by AWS. With this feature, users can access GPU-accelerated instances while AWS automatically handles AMI updates, security patching, and instance lifecycle management, eliminating the operational overhead of managing Amazon EC2 infrastructure. AWS Batch on ECS Managed Instances is available in all regions where AWS Batch is offered.
