Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL adds support for new versions with bug fixes and performance improvements

Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition now includes PostgreSQL versions 18.4, 17.10, 16.14, 15.18, and 14.23. These releases incorporate bug fixes from the PostgreSQL community and Aurora-specific enhancements. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest minor versions to address known CVEs and benefit from these improvements. Databases can be upgraded during scheduled maintenance windows using automatic minor version upgrades. For large-scale operations, enable automatic minor version upgrades and use AWS Organizations Upgrade Rollout Policy to manage upgrades in phases, validating on lower-priority environments before applying changes to critical ones.
