Amazon RDS for Oracle now supports the July 2026 Release Update for Oracle Database versions 19c, 21c, and 26ai, including security updates

Amazon RDS for Oracle now supports the July 2026 Release Update for Oracle Database versions 19c, 21c, and 26ai. This update includes security updates for Oracle database products. The naming format for updates in Oracle Database 19c changes to .ru-.mrp-.r. For example, the July 2026 quarterly update for Oracle Database 19c is named 19.0.0.0.ru-2026-07.mrp-2026-07.r1. Oracle Database 21c updates retain their existing naming format. You can apply the update via the Amazon RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI. Enable Automatic Minor Version Upgrade to apply updates automatically during your maintenance window. AWS Organizations upgrade rollout policy allows you to stagger updates across environments, validating in non-production before applying to production
