Web Search in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore adds domain and published date filtering, expands to Europe and Asia Pacific

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore now supports domain and published date filtering for web search, expanding to Europe and Asia Pacific regions, allowing per-request control over trusted sources and time windows.

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore's web search now includes domain and published date filtering, enabling agents to narrow results to trusted sources or block unwanted domains per request. Published-date filtering constrains results to specific time windows, ensuring responses reflect timely content. Admins gain gateway-level allowlist support and can specify up to 100 domains per list. These features are ideal for regulated industries and research workflows requiring strict control over information sources and recency. The web search tool is now available in Europe (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Tokyo), joining existing US East (N. Virginia) availability.
