New feature

Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base Now Supports Confluence Data Center as a Native Data Source Connector

Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base now allows direct crawling of blogs and pages from self-hosted Confluence Data Center instances, eliminating the need for custom ingestion pipelines

AWS has launched a Confluence Data Center data source connector for Amazon Bedrock managed knowledge bases, a fully managed RAG service. Customers running self-hosted Confluence Data Center instances can simply provide their instance credentials to automatically crawl blogs and pages, extract metadata, and perform incremental syncs. This provides access to team knowledge stored in Confluence, such as wiki pages and blog posts, allowing filtered ingestion of specific spaces or content types to maintain a cost-effective knowledge base. It simplifies building internal assistants based on engineering documents, runbooks, and team knowledge bases hosted in Confluence Data Center.

Why it matters

Organizations using Confluence Data Center can now directly leverage their existing knowledge base as a source for AI assistants
