Amazon Bedrock adds support for OpenAI's GPT-5.6 models (Terra and Luna) in India, ensuring processing stays within the country

Amazon Bedrock now supports OpenAI's GPT-5.6 models (Terra and Luna) in India, enabling customers with in-country processing requirements to use these models at scale. Cross-Region inference routes requests across AWS Regions in India (Asia Pacific Mumbai and Asia Pacific Hyderabad), ensuring data residency while scaling demand. These models run on the bedrock-runtime endpoint, supporting Responses, Chat Completions, and Converse APIs, with the same account-level controls as other Bedrock models, including logging, metrics, and cost tracking.
