Amazon EC2 M9g and M9gd instances are now available in four additional regions
Amazon EC2 M9g and M9gd instances are now available in Europe (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo) regions, powered by AWS Graviton5 processors for enhanced performance and security in memory-intensive workloads.
Amazon EC2 M9g and M9gd instances are now available in Europe (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo) regions. Powered by AWS Graviton5 processors, these instances deliver optimized performance for memory-intensive workloads. The fifth-generation custom-designed CPU enhances price-performance for memory-intensive workloads on Amazon EC2. Compared to M8g and M8gd instances based on AWS Graviton4, M9g and M9gd instances offer up to 25% higher performance and up to 30% faster databases. Built on the sixth-generation AWS Nitro System, they feature the Nitro Isolation Engine, mathematically guaranteeing workload isolation from each other and from AWS operators through formal verification, setting a new standard in cloud security. M9g instances are ideal for open-source databases, in-memory caches, big data analytics, and memory-intensive applications. M9gd instances provide local NVMe-based SSD block-level storage for scratch space, temporary files, and caches, in addition to memory-intensive workloads. These instances can be purchased through Savings Plans, On-Demand, Spot Instances, Dedicated Instances, or Dedicated Hosts in these four regions.
