Amazon ECR now supports replication backfill for existing container images
Amazon ECR now supports replication backfill, allowing customers to replicate existing images to configured destinations with a single API call. Up to ten backfill jobs can run concurrently.
Amazon ECR now supports replication backfill, allowing existing images in a private registry to be replicated to configured destinations in a single API call. This enables full image catalog replication across regions for expansion, disaster recovery validation, rule updates, or compliance, with up to 10 jobs running concurrently. Progress and per-image results can be monitored via the new API, and jobs can be stopped at any time without deleting already replicated images. The feature is available in all AWS regions where Amazon ECR is offered.
Why it matters
