Amazon EVS is now available in more regions

Amazon EVS allows you to run VMware Cloud Foundation on AWS bare-metal instances, enabling rapid migration of existing VMware workloads to AWS.

Amazon Elastic VMware Service (Amazon EVS) is now available in the Asia Pacific (Osaka), Asia Pacific (Taipei), Europe (Spain), and Israel (Tel Aviv) regions. This expansion gives customers more options to run VMware workloads on AWS, offering scale and flexibility. Amazon EVS runs VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) directly within Amazon VPC on EC2 bare-metal instances powered by AWS Nitro, enabling full VCF environments in hours. It helps remove legacy infrastructure, reduce operational risk, and meet data center migration deadlines. All existing Amazon EVS features, including support for VCF 9.0 and 9.1, are available. These added regions let customer VMware workloads run closer to end users, reducing latency, meeting data residency requirements, and providing extra options for high availability and resilience.
