Amazon MSK Connect now supports updating connector plugins and worker configurations

Amazon MSK Connect now enables in-place updates of connector plugins and worker configurations, reducing operational overhead and risk while preserving committed offsets

Amazon MSK Connect is a fully managed service for deploying, monitoring, and scaling Apache Kafka Connect connectors on Amazon MSK. Previously, updating connector plugins or worker configurations required deleting and recreating the connector, increasing operational burden and risk. This new feature allows in-place updates, preserving committed offsets and resuming tasks after updates complete. The feature is available at no additional cost in all AWS regions supported by Amazon MSK Connect.
