Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL now supports minor versions 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24

Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL adds support for the latest minor versions, allowing users to apply security fixes and performance improvements from the PostgreSQL community.

Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL now includes the latest minor versions: 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24. This update enables users to address known vulnerabilities in earlier PostgreSQL releases and benefit from bug fixes and enhancements provided by the PostgreSQL community. Database upgrades can be performed during scheduled maintenance windows using automatic minor version upgrades. For large-scale environments, AWS Organizations' upgrade rollout policy helps manage phased upgrades, allowing validation in lower-priority environments before applying changes to critical systems.
