Amazon Redshift RG instances now available in Europe (Zurich) Region

Amazon Redshift RG instances, powered by AWS Graviton processors, are now available in the Europe (Zurich) Region, delivering up to 2.4x faster performance and 30% lower price per vCPU compared to RA3 instances.

Amazon Redshift RG instances are now available in the AWS Europe (Zurich) region, powered by AWS Graviton processors for up to 2.4x faster performance and 30% lower price per vCPU over RA3 instances for data warehouse and lake workloads. They include Redshift's custom vectorized data lake query engine to process Apache Iceberg and Parquet data on cluster nodes, enabling SQL analytics across both data warehouse and lake with a single engine. RG instances come in four sizes: rg.large, rg.xlarge, rg.4xlarge, and rg.12xlarge. Customers with existing RA3 clusters can upgrade to RG using snapshot and restore, elastic resize, or classic resize. RG instances are available on-demand or pre-purchased for one or three years with full, partial, or no upfront payments; see the Amazon Redshift pricing page for details.
