Amazon S3 Tables has increased the table bucket limit per AWS account and region from 10 to 100, allowing up to one million tables per region. This higher quota applies to all accounts by default at no extra cost, enabling separate bucket settings for each dataset, workload, or team. As the first cloud object store with built-in Apache Iceberg support, S3 Tables simplifies large table storage and performs ongoing maintenance to automatically optimize query efficiency and storage costs as data lakes grow. The increased default quota is available in all AWS regions where S3 Tables is offered, with additional increases requestable via AWS Support. For more information, see the S3 Tables overview, user guide, and quota documentation.
