AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now supports configurable recovery latency modes
AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now allows customers to configure latency settings, offering control over internal connection latency between inputs and outputs. Two modes-balanced and low-latency-are available to optimize recovery time for different workflows.
AWS Elemental MediaConnect Router now enables customers to configure latency settings for connections between inputs and outputs within the router. Previously, the service automatically set internal protocol latency. The update introduces two configuration options: balanced mode for general use and low-latency mode for latency-sensitive workflows. Each router output can be set independently, allowing the same input to feed multiple outputs with different latency requirements. A new CloudWatch metric, RouteFabricRecoveryLatency, shows the configured recovery latency for each route. Customers can configure and view these settings using the MediaConnect API, AWS Management Console, or AWS CLI. This feature is available in all regions where MediaConnect Router is currently deployed.
