AWS Marketplace now supports auto-renewals for private offers

AWS Marketplace now supports auto-renewals for private offers, allowing sellers and buyers to maintain active subscriptions without renegotiation or repurchase at term end.

AWS Marketplace now supports automatic renewal for private offers, allowing sellers and buyers to maintain subscriptions without renegotiation or repurchase at contract end. Sellers define renewal terms, including price changes, while buyers select options upon receipt and can modify them later. Both parties receive renewal notifications with term comparisons and can decline renewal. Upon completion, buyers can link updated purchase orders. This feature is generally available across all commercial AWS regions for sellers setting contract prices in direct private offers, requiring no additional setup or onboarding.

Why it matters

This update affects users who buy or sell software and services on AWS Marketplace. Sellers and buyers using private offers can manage automatic subscription renewals and set contract terms for future updates in advance.
