AWS Transform for migrations expands support for existing landing zones
AWS Transform for migrations now supports more types of existing AWS environments when building landing zones for migration, including AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations landing zones, enabling teams to start migrating sooner.
AWS Transform for migrations now supports more existing AWS environments, including those built with AWS Control Tower or AWS Organizations. It performs gap analysis against AWS best practices and extends landing zones over existing target accounts, enabling teams to start migrations faster. AWS Transform also supports an infrastructure as code-only mode, generating AWS CDK, Terraform, or Landing Zone Accelerator templates aligned with migration plans after analyzing the organization. This mode benefits organizations that prefer connecting via delegated administrator accounts rather than granting direct access to the management account, and customers who want to manage their own deployment pipelines without agent-based automation. The AWS Transform for migrations landing zone agent automates end-to-end landing zone design, including foundational setup, organizational unit and account structure, service control policies, and workload accounts aligned with migration plans and waves. These new features are available in all target AWS regions supported by AWS Transform for migrations.
Why it matters
