Claude Fable 5.1, Anthropic's new frontier model is now available on AWS

Anthropic's most capable frontier model now delivers improved intelligence for coding, research, and enterprise workflows

Claude Fable 5.1 is now generally available on AWS, providing Anthropic's most capable frontier model for customers. Fable 5.1 offers frontier intelligence for demanding tasks in coding, scientific research, and enterprise workflows. It represents a clear improvement over Claude Fable 5, especially in complex reasoning tasks, delivering better judgment on ambiguous work and fewer confidently wrong answers. The model is designed for long-running, high-stakes work spanning hours and multiple applications, capable of handling entire codebases, code reviews, and performance optimization autonomously. Designated as a Covered Model, Fable 5.1 includes enhanced data retention, safety review, and access policies. Eligible customers can use Covered Models while keeping their data in a cloud environment they control, thanks to Enterprise Frontier Safeguards developed jointly by AWS and Anthropic. Access is available through Amazon Bedrock and the Claude Platform on AWS.
