Amazon Bedrock now offers OpenAI's Daybreak Red in AWS GovCloud (US-East), enabling authorized security professionals to use advanced AI for vulnerability research, exploit reproduction, and mitigation development with enhanced controls and privacy

OpenAI's Daybreak Red is now available on Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud (US-East) for authenticated customers. Built for permitted vulnerability research, attack simulation, and mitigation development, Daybreak Red: GPT-5.6 Cyber enhances complex security investigation capabilities, reduces task denials, and provides stronger identity verification, monitoring, and access control. It runs on Bedrock's next-generation inference engine with chip-level zero-operator access enforcement. Inference data isn't used for model training, and Daybreak Red data need not be shared with OpenAI. The model is available in US East (Ohio) and AWS GovCloud (US-East), requiring Daybreak access registration from OpenAI. To begin, contact your OpenAI or AWS account team about Daybreak eligibility, then work with your AWS account team to enable access after approval.
