Z.ai's GLM 5.3 is now generally available on Amazon Bedrock
Amazon Bedrock now supports Z.ai's GLM 5.3, providing a powerful option for agentic coding and long-horizon software engineering work with the latest open-weight model and AWS security and compliance.
Amazon Bedrock now supports Z.ai's GLM 5.3, a powerful option for agent-based coding and long-term software engineering. With 753b total parameters and about 40b active parameters per token, GLM 5.3 is a professional mixture architecture built on the same base model as GLM 5.2 through scaled post-training improvements. It offers a 1 million token context window and up to 128k output tokens, enabling always-on inference with adjustable trade-offs between latency, token usage, and task performance. GLM 5.3 includes prompt caching to explicitly cache system prompts and message cache points, reducing latency and input costs when reusing context between model calls. Available to eligible enterprise customers, GLM 5.3 can be accessed via the Amazon Bedrock console or supported Amazon Bedrock APIs in US and global cross-region inference profiles. For details on supported AWS regions, endpoints, APIs, features, inference profiles, and pricing, see Amazon Bedrock documentation.
Why it matters
Amazon Bedrock is a platform for invoking AI models, allowing developers to access and use various AI models. The general availability of GLM 5.3 provides a new option for agentic coding and long-horizon software engineering tasks.
