Amazon Aurora DSQL now supports Amazon CloudWatch Database Insights

Amazon Aurora DSQL adds CloudWatch Database Insights metrics for cluster-level performance monitoring, helping diagnose issues and identify resource-intensive queries.

Amazon Aurora DSQL now includes a new Amazon CloudWatch Database Insights metric that provides per-statement, cluster-level performance monitoring. It captures sampled wait states and normalized SQL statements for all active cluster sessions, allowing users to diagnose performance issues and identify queries that consume the most resources. The metric is captured at one-minute intervals and is available by default at no additional cost. This feature is available in all AWS Regions where Aurora DSQL is offered.

Why it matters

This update is relevant for developers and database administrators who need to monitor and optimize database performance. Users of Aurora DSQL can now analyze cluster performance in more detail.
