Amazon CloudWatch now supports network health indicator for TGW inter-Region peering using synthetic monitors

Amazon CloudWatch Network Monitoring's synthetic monitors now allow you to determine if a network performance issue on a path crossing an AWS Transit Gateway inter-Region peering connection is caused by the AWS network.

Amazon CloudWatch synthetic monitors now assess network performance issues on routes via AWS Transit Gateway inter-region peering, helping operators and developers quickly identify performance bottlenecks. Previously limited to AWS Direct Connect routes, this release extends health indicators to routes reaching peered regions through Transit Gateway peering. These indicators reflect AWS network health up to the peering connection and are published to CloudWatch accounts, enabling dashboard creation and alarm configuration.
