Amazon EVS now in scope for FedRAMP Class C
Amazon EVS is now in scope for FedRAMP Class C across all US Regions, enabling secure deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation software.
Amazon Elastic VMware Service (EVS) is now a FedRAMP Class C service across all US regions. FedRAMP standardizes security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. Amazon EVS enables direct deployment of the latest VMware Cloud Foundation software within Amazon VPC on EC2 bare metal instances, allowing full VCF environments to be built in hours. This accelerates workload migration to AWS, helping remove legacy infrastructure, reduce operational risk, and meet critical data center migration timelines.
Why it matters
FedRAMP certification is crucial for government agencies using cloud services, and Amazon EVS meeting this standard enables secure migration of VMware-based workloads to AWS.
