AWS Glue Data Quality delivers context-specific rule recommendations in seconds

AWS Glue Data Quality now offers an advanced mode using generative AI to detect data intent and propose business-relevant rules, accelerating setup for new datasets and large-scale data lake baseline checks.

AWS Glue Data Quality has updated its functionality to reduce setup time for data quality checks on tables in the AWS Glue Data Catalog. The new advanced mode uses generative AI to detect data intent and suggest business-relevant rules, enabling quick initiation of rule setup for new datasets or baseline checks across entire data lakes without manually writing each rule. Users can review recommended rules, adjust as needed, save them as a rule set, and begin monitoring immediately. Advanced mode is available in major regions.

Why it matters

Data engineers and analysts can significantly reduce the time required to set up data quality checks, accelerating the construction of data pipelines and the transition to trusted data.
