Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP now supports copying backups across AWS Regions and accounts

Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, a fully managed shared storage service based on NetApp's ONTAP file system, now allows copying backups not only within the same Region and account but also across different Regions and trusted accounts within an AWS organization. This feature provides an additional layer of data protection by storing secondary backup copies in a separate Region or account, simplifying compliance with business continuity, data protection, and regulatory requirements. Amazon FSx offers secure, highly durable, and incremental backups to meet data retention, archival, and compliance needs, with backups stored redundantly across multiple Availability Zones in the same Region as the file system.
