Amazon Managed Grafana now supports in-place upgrades from Grafana version 12.4 to 13.2. This enables features introduced in open-source Grafana versions 13.0 to 13.2, including dashboard Git sync, dynamic dashboards, and PromQL query support in the Amazon CloudWatch data source plugin. Git sync lets you link workspaces to Git repositories for version-controlled dashboard changes. Dynamic dashboards adjust layouts and panels based on data or variables. The CloudWatch plugin allows querying metrics collected via OpenTelemetry (OTLP) endpoints using PromQL, in addition to previously supported metric search and metrics insights query types. In-place upgrades are available in all AWS regions where Amazon Managed Grafana is offered, via the AWS console, SDK, or CLI. For details on new features and upgrade procedures, see the Amazon Managed Grafana User Guide sections on Grafana version differences and updating workspaces. Features and pricing are available on the product and pricing pages.
