New feature

Amazon Quick now supports approval policies for sharing

Amazon Quick provides approval policies that let administrators control asset sharing within their organization, requiring designated approvers to review share requests before granting access.

Amazon Quick now includes approval policies, enabling administrators to govern how assets are shared across their organization. These policies allow administrators to create rules for specific asset types such as knowledge bases, spaces, and custom chat agents. When a user requests to share an asset covered by a policy, the request is sent to a designated approver group for review. Approvers can evaluate the asset directly before approving or denying the request, with all workflow events logged in AWS CloudTrail for full auditability. For custom chat agents, approvers can review and act on the entire dependency package in a single request. This feature is available for Professional and Enterprise plans in all AWS Regions where Amazon Quick agent capabilities are supported.

Why it matters

This update is relevant for administrators and security officers who need to manage sharing of sensitive assets within their organization. It enhances governance of Amazon Quick's sharing capabilities, improving compliance and auditability.
