AWS Backup adds cross-Region and cross-account backup support for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP

AWS Backup now enables copying Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP backups across AWS Regions and accounts, enhancing disaster recovery and security

AWS Backup now supports copying Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP backups to different AWS Regions or accounts. This feature helps meet cross-Region disaster recovery and business continuity goals while protecting backups from accidental deletion, operational errors, or account compromise. AWS Backup centrally manages these copies and allows automation across an organization using AWS Organizations. The capability is available in all commercial AWS Regions where both Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP and AWS Backup are offered.
