AWS Backup now supports cross-account management and backup in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, enabling centralized management of backups across organization accounts

AWS Backup now supports cross-account management, cross-account backup, and delegated administrators in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (Germany) region. This enables centralized management, monitoring, and copying of backups across an organization using AWS Organizations. Cross-account management allows deployment of backup policies from the management or delegated administrator account, while cross-account backup enables copying recovery points to backup vaults in other accounts, adding protection against accidental or malicious deletion in the source account. Members can also be registered as delegated administrators, letting teams manage organization-wide backups without accessing the management account. These features incur no additional charges, and standard AWS Backup pricing applies. For details, see the AWS Backup documentation and access the AWS Backup console to get started.
