Amazon ElastiCache Serverless for Valkey now supports public endpoints in AWS GovCloud (US), enabling connections from serverless functions or applications outside VPCs without VPC, VPN, bastion hosts, or SSH tunnels. ElastiCache Serverless requires no VPC configuration or infrastructure provisioning and can be created in under one minute. All connections use IAM authentication over TLS 1.3, eliminating the need for password management or rotation. Connections are possible with Valkey clients using Valkey GLIDE 2.2 or later or the developer toolkit. Public endpoints are available in all commercial AWS regions, AWS GovCloud (US), and China regions at no additional cost beyond standard ElastiCache Serverless pricing. Serverless caches using Valkey 9.0 or later can be created and accessed via the AWS Management Console, AWS SDK, or AWS CLI.
