New feature

AWS Billing Conductor now supports custom rates and usage tier pricing configurations

AWS Billing Conductor now allows defining custom rates and usage tiers via SKU-scoped pricing rules, enabling precise control over pro forma billing without percentage-based markups.

AWS Billing Conductor enables defining custom rates for AWS services, allowing users to set rates based on desired usage tiers. Customers and partners can easily reflect negotiated prices into proforma billing data when modeling commercial agreements with subsidiaries, affiliates, or end customers. By applying SKU-limited pricing rules, users can input custom rates and set usage tier thresholds, providing precise control for modeling commercial contracts without needing percentage-based markups or markdowns on publicly listed on-demand rates tied to predefined AWS usage tiers. This feature is available across all commercial AWS regions except Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) region (operated by Sinnet) and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) region (operated by NWCD).

Why it matters

AWS Billing Conductor is used to model commercial agreements within enterprises and between partners. Custom rates and usage tier configurations help manage accurate billing data.
