Monitor cost anomalies directly in Billing and Cost Management Dashboards with the new Detected Anomalies widget

AWS now supports the Detected Anomalies widget in BCM Dashboards, allowing you to review cost anomalies alongside cost and usage, budgets, cost efficiency, and reports for Savings Plans and Reserved Instance coverage and utilization.

AWS today announced support for the Detected Anomalies widget in the BCM dashboard. This widget lets you view cost anomalies alongside monthly costs, usage, budgets, cost efficiency, and savings plan or reserved instance coverage. It shows the number of detected anomalies and their total cost impact, helping you quickly assess anomaly severity. You can review cost impact, root cause, and duration for each anomaly, and filter by severity, service, account, and region for the most relevant issues. Adding the widget to your BCM dashboard allows finance and cloud teams to monitor anomalies without leaving existing cost management workflows. The widget links directly to the AWS Cost Anomaly Detection console for easy investigation and recording of assessments. It integrates with dashboard exports for scheduled email reports or offline analysis as CSV or PDF, and is included in cross-account dashboard sharing.
