New feature

Monitor cost anomalies directly in Billing and Cost Management Dashboards with the new Detected Anomalies widget

AWS Billing and Cost Management Dashboards now include a Detected Anomalies widget, allowing finance and cloud teams to view cost anomalies alongside usage, budgets, efficiency, and Savings Plans/RI coverage in one place

AWS today announced support for the Detected Anomalies widget in cost management dashboards. This widget shows the number of monthly cost anomalies and their total impact compared to monthly costs, allowing quick assessment of each anomaly's scale. Users can view cost impact, root cause, and duration for each anomaly, and filter by severity, service, account, and region for 30, 60, or 90-day periods to display the most relevant anomalies for their account. Finance and cloud management teams can add one or more Detected Anomalies widgets to their BCM dashboards to monitor anomalies without disrupting existing workflows. The widget links directly to the AWS Cost Anomaly Detection console for easy investigation and recording of assessments. It integrates fully with dashboard exports, allowing inclusion in scheduled email reports or download as CSV or PDF for offline analysis, and is also included in cross-account dashboard sharing. The Detected Anomalies widget is available at no additional charge in all commercial AWS regions. See the user guide for details.
