New feature

AWS Builder ID adds recovery options and multi-factor authentication for third-party logins

AWS Builder ID now offers recovery emails and MFA for all sign-in methods, including third-party logins

AWS Builder ID is a profile for accessing AWS Builder Center, AWS Training and Certification, Amazon Quick, Kiro, and more. New features enhance profile protection and recovery, allowing self-service recovery in more scenarios without contacting AWS Support by adding a recovery email. Forgotten passwords can be reset via links sent to the main or recovery email. If MFA device access is lost, verification of both the main and recovery emails can restore access. Users signed in with Google, Apple, GitHub, or Amazon can register MFA devices directly with AWS Builder ID, extending strong account protection to these methods. If third-party account access is lost, the sign-in method can be permanently switched to email and password. For details on AWS Builder ID and how to set up account recovery and MFA, see the AWS Builder ID documentation.
