AWS End User Messaging now offers end-to-end managed OTP verification
AWS End User Messaging announces end-to-end managed one-time passcode (OTP) verification in Notify, delivering a working OTP solution in under five minutes-including AWS phone numbers and code verification-without setting up numbers, registering with carriers, or managing message delivery.
Today, AWS End User Messaging launched end-to-end managed OTP verification in Notify. This allows building a working OTP solution with AWS phone numbers and code verification in under five minutes, eliminating the need to manage phone number setup, carrier registration, and message delivery. Previously, developers had to generate passcodes themselves, pass them to Notify for sending, and build and maintain the logic for creating, storing, and expiring passcodes. Now, Notify generates and delivers codes and verifies recipient input, handling the entire verification flow. Codes can be delivered via text, voice, or WhatsApp. Notification code settings configure rules once-code type, length, expiration, recipient attempts, and templates per channel. Then, one call sends the code to the chosen channel, and another verifies the recipient's input. Notify is available in all commercial AWS regions where AWS End User Messaging is offered.
