AWS MCP Server enables code agents to efficiently diagnose Lambda functions and connected resources
The AWS Model Context Protocol Server (AWS MCP Server) now adds serverless capabilities, enabling code agents like Claude Code and Kiro to efficiently diagnose AWS Lambda functions and connected resources. Agents can inspect Lambda functions and resources such as API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and Step Functions, correlate errors against a 7-day baseline to identify recurring issues, retrieve function and resource deployment configurations, provide timelines of recent changes, and analyze service delays between resources. By fetching comprehensive data in a single call, agents avoid the token consumption of multiple API calls. The AWS MCP Server is available through the Agent Toolkit for AWS or as a standalone install, accessible in all commercial AWS regions with no additional cost for serverless diagnostics.
