AWS Transform now builds new networks and modernizes security groups

AWS Transform for migrations now offers three ways to bring networks to AWS: migrating and modernizing existing networks, building a new network from scratch, or converting on-premises access rules into optimized security groups deployed into existing VPCs

AWS Transform for migrations offers three methods: modernizing existing networks, building new networks from scratch, or converting on-premises access rules into optimized security groups for deployment to existing VPCs. This prevents carrying over legacy definitions from on-premises environments and ensures new networks follow AWS best practices. When importing access rules, they are transformed into security groups, with recommendations to identify and optimize outdated rules, enabling deployment to existing VPCs without redeploying the network stack. These capabilities support migrations to AWS commercial or GovCloud regions.
