AWS GovCloud (US) now offers Claude Sonnet 5.5, a smarter, more efficient model than Sonnet 5 for lower-cost, faster processing of coding and knowledge work, excelling in cloud-based sessions for code building, modification, and output validation. It also generates shareable knowledge work like one-page documents, charts, summary slides, and cleaned-up documents and spreadsheets. Amazon Bedrock provides Sonnet's capabilities while keeping data within AWS infrastructure and offering region-specific data residency, with unified access to AWS managed features such as Guardrails and Knowledge Bases.
