Amazon EC2 Future-dated Capacity Reservations Now Supports Postponing Start Dates

Amazon EC2 Future-dated Capacity Reservations now allow you to postpone the start date. Review and accept the quote showing the new start date and required commitment duration to update your reservation.

Amazon EC2 future-dated capacity reservations let you reserve required capacity, start date and commitment term up to 120 days in advance. If plans change, you can postpone the start date to match the new schedule. EC2 will provide a quote for the new start date and required commitment term, which may be extended depending on when the start date is postponed. After confirming and approving the quote, EC2 updates the reservation to the new start date. This feature is available to all future-dated capacity reservation customers. For region-specific availability, see the AWS feature availability by region list.

Why it matters
