OpenAI GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are now generally available on Amazon Bedrock

Amazon Bedrock now generally available with OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna. Sol is for complex tasks and software development, while Luna is for high-volume tasks, both supporting maximum context tokens.

Today, AWS launched general availability of OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna on Amazon Bedrock. These models, along with Astra, expand the GPT-6 family, offering choices to balance intelligence, speed, and cost for each workload. Sol suits routine complex tasks and software development, halving error rates compared to GPT-5.6 Sol in OpenAI’s factuality evaluation. Luna efficiently handles high-load tasks like summarization, extraction, classification, and routing, adjusting per-request inference effort to balance quality, speed, and cost. Both models support maximum token context. Amazon Bedrock’s inference engine provides the performance, security, and scale needed for production workloads. Existing AWS controls enable workload protection, access management, and audit of model invocation activity. GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are available programmatically via the Amazon Bedrock console or supported Amazon Bedrock API. For supported AWS regions, endpoints, APIs, features, inference profiles, and pricing, see Amazon Bedrock documentation.
