New feature

Claude Opus 5.5 is now available on AWS

AWS now offers Anthropic's latest model, Claude Opus 5.5, which efficiently handles long-running coding and knowledge work and provides clear reports on actions taken and next steps. Available via Amazon Bedrock and Claude Platform on AWS.

AWS has begun offering Anthropic's latest model, claude Opus 5.5, the highest-performance Opus model in the claude 5 series for efficient long-duration coding and knowledge work with clear reporting. It completes tasks with fewer tokens than claude Opus 5, lowers cost per token, and improves cache read efficiency. Customers can access it through both Amazon Bedrock and claude Platform on AWS. Amazon Bedrock provides default zero-data retention (ZDR), keeping data within AWS infrastructure with regional data residency and unified access to AWS management features like guardrails and knowledge bases. With claude Platform on AWS, users can directly utilize Anthropic's native platform via the AWS console, executing build, test, and deploy steps using the same APIs, features, and console experience as when working directly with Anthropic, along with unified AWS billing and authentication.
