Partner Revenue Measurement adds Multi-Partner support to Resource Tagging
Partner Revenue Measurement adds multi-partner support to resource tagging, enabling multiple AWS partners to receive revenue attribution for the same AWS resource
Partner revenue measurement (PRM) tracks AWS consumption driven by partner solutions. PRM adds multi-partner support to resource tagging, allowing revenue attribution to multiple AWS partners for the same AWS resource. This enables multiple partners contributing to the same workload to earn revenue. Previously, only one partner could be attributed as only one partner tag (aws-apn-id) existed per resource, even if multiple partners contributed to the same workload. In this update, each partner tags the resource with a new key in the format aws-apn-id-. When multiple partners tag the same resource, each partner receives revenue attribution. The existing aws-apn-id key continues to function, and resources tagged with aws-apn-id require no changes. Multi-partner support is available in all commercial AWS regions. Revenue attribution via both the existing aws-apn-id key and the new key is displayed using the "resource tagging" method, with no changes to the dashboard.
Why it matters
This update allows multiple partners to earn revenue for the same AWS resource, particularly useful when partners collaborate on a single workload, such as a consulting partner deploying and operating a software partner's product in an AWS account.
