Amazon Bedrock supports the reasoning.summary parameter with OpenAI models via the Responses API, allowing developers to retrieve human-readable summaries alongside model responses for understanding complex tasks like code generation, analysis, and multi-step problem solving. Summaries are returned in the summary array of inference output items.
