Amazon EC2 R8gd instances are now available in additional regions

Amazon EC2 R8gd instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, offer up to 11.4 TB of NVMe-based SSD storage and provide flexibility to adjust network and EBS bandwidth by 25% using EC2 instance bandwidth weighting configuration.

Amazon EC2 R8gd instances are now available in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (Germany) region. They feature up to 11.4 TB of NVMe-based SSD block storage and AWS Graviton4 processors, delivering up to 30% performance gains over Graviton3-based instances. Built on the AWS Nitro System, these instances are ideal for applications requiring fast, low-latency local storage access. Offered in 12 sizes, they provide up to 50 Gbps network bandwidth and 40 Gbps Amazon EBS bandwidth, with an additional 25% adjustable bandwidth via EC2 instance weight settings for optimized resource allocation. Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) networking is supported for 24xlarge, 48xlarge, metal-24xl, and metal-48xl sizes.
